Letters From...
Letter from the General Manager
Clint Eastwood once said, "Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better, you have to take things into your own hands".
Kids don't care to know how a park was constructed or how teams are put together; however, they do care about kicking the ball and being cheered on by their parents, grandparents, siblings and friends. Indoor Soccer is one of my favorite sports at Valley-Wide. The league is over 850 kids strong and for the majority of them, it is the first time playing as part of a team.
We see people taking matters into their own hands everyday at Valley-Wide. Parents work long days and rush home to take their kids to practice, games or to coach a team. Valley-Wide is fortunate to be a part of a community taking matters into their own hands to ensure that the youth in our valley can continue to focus on the important things in life, like...being part of a team and being cheered on.
Summer is coming and we are excited, I challenge all of us to become part of a team and give back to our community...Let's take matters into our own hands.
Dean Wetter
General Manager,
Valley-Wide Recreation & Park District
