On today's tour, we escape to Malibu where we will have a docent led walking tour inside the ADAMSON HOUSE. The Spanish Colonia Revival style home, today a National Historic site, casts a magical spell allowing visitors to evoke old California in a way few places can be. Built in 1929, it occupies one of the most idyllic oceanfront spots in all Southern California. The house boasts an exotic mix of Spanish and Moorish influences with dazzling displays of decorative tiles and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship including hand-carved doors, hand-painted doors, hand-painted frescoes, molded ceilings, distinctive cast ironwork and lead-framed bottle glass windows. Equally compelling, is the story of the close-knit family who once lived here and whose aura continue to permeate the interior, where most their original furnishing remain. Next, we will enjoy lunch in Santa Monica at Bubba Gumps.
